Venture under probe

Law professor Peter Henning commented in a story about an investigation focusing on whether Larry Winget, former owner of Venture, through his affiliated companies, siphoned $314 million from his company and filed inaccurate financial reports that misled the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and investors about the company\'s finances. Though the company was privately held, it was required to file SEC reports because it had publicly traded debt.
